Group Camp Photos

Graham has put some photos of our 2011 Group Camp at Youlbury on our flickr photostream at http://www.flickr.com/photos/bloxhamscoutgroup/. If anyone else has photos that they'd like to add to the stream, we did say that we'd put the password on the web site. However, I think it's probably better if you email me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , and I'll send you the password and, if you need them, some helpful hints on how to upload photos.

How to see the Program

The Timetable section is only visible to registered users, so if you're a newcomer to the site, please use the 'Create an Account' link on the User Menu to the left to set yourself up a user ID. You will get a validation email back with a link in it. You will need to follow the link to prove that you've used a valid email address, so look out for the email - they do sometimes get filed as SPAM, I'm afraid. You can only use an email address with one user ID, too, so if you want separate IDs for parents and children you'll need separate email addresses too. Any problems, please just email the webmaster via the Contact Us page and I'll try and help.

PRODRIVE Photos Now Available

I've put the photos The Beavers & Scouts Visit to PRODRIVE on our shiny new flickr account. I think they're best viewed as a slide show in full screen mode. Go HERE to view the slide show, and click on the button in the bottom right corner to view them full screen. You can tweak the options to view them in forward or reverse order (perversely, viewing the slide show backwards shows them in chronological order!).

Geocaching with 1st Bloxham Scout Group

Geocaching is a high-tech treasure hunting game played throughout the world by adventure seekers equipped with GPS devices. The basic idea is to locate hidden containers, called geocaches, outdoors and then share your experiences online. Geocaching is enjoyed by people from all age groups, with a strong sense of community and support for the environment.

In the group we use GPS to help in the training of navigation skills alongside the essential Map & Compass. We are logged with GEOCACHING.com at 1stBloxhamScoutGroup and you can ask any of the leaders for our password and add another entry to our log.  We Even were donated our very own Group GPS unit a Garmin E-Trex to use so if you would like to have a go phone Graham on 01295 780707.

We also have our own Travel Bug!

1st Bloxham "SCOUT" Travel Bug is on a mission to Travel all over the world and find as many Beavers, Cubs & Scouts as possible and have his photo taken with them. If you find him log your entry and post a photo of yourself - if you have a contact E-mail then drop us a note.

Travel Bug Latest - After setting him free in June 2010 he has already found his way into the hands of German Scouts!
