County Camp - Oxon Jam

We are now able to offer two options for Scouts wanting to visit OXONJAM the County Camp.
1) As a day visitor - on either Saturday or Sunday (provide own packed lunch)
2) 2 day visit (Saturday & Sunday) with camping on Saturday night. This is due to leader availability.
Please fill out and get the attached for back to us by the 31st March (preferably early as possible).

23rd Feb: Oxonjam Letters Back (see attached Oxonjam Letter0001) & Battered Pan Planning.
2nd March: Battered Pan Competition 7pm @ Horley Camp Site - Taurus Lodge.
9th March: Level 3 Emergency Aid Badge part 3 of 3
10-13th March - Horley - Campsite Activity Centre Bage Weekend 1 - See Nights Away form Attached
16th March: Teamwork Challenge, Choose Sponsored Event for Red Nose Day, First Aid Test
23rd March: Red Nose Day Challenge: Meet at the School at normal time - Dress in you most FUNKY disco clothes for the rave on top of HOB HILL.

REMEMBER TO GET AS MUCH SPONSORSHIP AS POSSIBLE, IT REALY DOES SAVE LIVES!!!!


30th March: Outdoor Challenge - Cook a Backwoods Meal @ Horley 7pm
31st March - Si5 SpyMissions Group Event @ Milton Keynes (see section below)
1st April - 2nd April: County selection Camp for Norway Expedition
6th April: NO SCOUTS
Easter Break

Scouts Program for Winter-Spring Term 2017

Thursday the 12/1/2017 - Scavenger Hunt in Bloxham
Meet as normal at Bloxham Primary School to start at 7:30.
Bring warm , waterproof clothes for going out & a torch.  It is likely to be very cold and very wet!!!
Anyone not wearing appropriate clothing will be sent home at the start of the meeting.
Letters will be given out for Subs, OxJam County Camp, Scouts Swimming Gala & the Group Fund raising Bingo evening.

19/1/17 - Teamwork Challenge (pt 2) Team Roles activity + Investiture & Swimming Gala letters to be returned (see below).

26/1/17 - First Aid Pt 2 (TBC)
02/2/17 - Team Leader Challenge - Teach a Scout a Skill
09/2/17 - Troop Forum & Select Teams for Battered Pan Competition
16/2/17 - Half Term (No Scouts)
23/2/17 - Battered Pan Planning Week, Last Chance for County Camp Deposit to be in.

1st Meeting of 2017 - Winter Camp Team Only

The Scout meeting on 5th Jan is only for the team Going on Winter Camp and their Parents/Guardian.
It will only start at 8pm NOT 7.30 and is planned to last only half an hour.
Please bring with you the permission to camp form (if not already given to Ian).
I will be giving out camp site maps which will show where the drop off parking is and more importantly have a grid so that on the day we can text you where our camp site has been allocated.

SCOUTS MOVES TO THURSDAYS FROM SEPTEMBER

Yes Scouts has moved to THURSDAYS from September AND will be at the new time of 7.30PM TO 9PM.

Friday Sept 9th - Sat 10th: Group Fun Night & AGM + Camp. (please see the e-mail you have been sent).

Thursday Sept 15th: Start Shoe Box Charity Activity, Troop Code of Conduct

Thursday Sept 22nd: Knife, Axe & Saw Skills @ Horley (Parent Help required please)
