Swimming at Spiceball in Banbury  starts at 7pm so be there for 6:45pm at the latest (finishes at 8:30pm)
We will be having some assessments to find out if your speed has increased from last time and then doing swimming badges.
We will be picking the two Swimming Teams for the District Gala (age 10-12 & Under 14 1/2) on Saturday the 6th of Feb (3-6pm) Bicester.

Fire Lighting and Sausage Sizzle (fire included) @ Horley
Please bring £2 to help towards the cost.

Wed: 25th November
1: Fire Lighting Theory (no fire included)
How to build a fire, out of what wood (not all wood is the same), how to keep it going and not to use it all up before you need it.
2: Photographers Badge
Have a look on the Scoutbase web site at the badge requirements, If you have a Camera - Bring it along.
We will be running a competition with prizes for the best photo in each class judged in the new year.
3: Winter Camp Parents Meeting
Lead by Ian, please attend if your Scout is going to Winter Camp this year.

Wed: 18th November

Fri 13th-Sat 14th November
District Night Hike: 8-10 miles navigation at night using only a Map & Compass (Counts towards Challenge Badges)

Wed: 11th November
Map & Compass (Skill Level Based Training)
We will split the troop into groups based on their knowledge and set each group different tasks.

SUNDAY 8th November is Remembrance Sunday
All Scouts are expected to attend the Parade in Full Scout (or Cub) uniform
Meet at 10:20am at Jubilee Hall (In the event of bad weather we would assemble in the Church @ 10:40)
Finish at Elephant and Castle at approx 12.30pm.

Wed: 4th November
Bottle Rocket Night @ the School
your bottle MUST be a fizzy drink bottle for it to fit on the launcher
you can use any size of fizzy drink bottle
For the 1st Competition: Decorate it - the one voted the best from the sort list will win a prize!
2nd Competition: is the best flight based on height & time in the air we will see who the best are and then have a "blast off" Final for a prize.
